Family

Family

As you look through this book,
Many pictures you will see.
The true meaning of life,
Our ancestors left for you and me.

They boarded big boats,
And left their past behind.
To come to America,
With a great future in mind.

They worked as Engineers,
And Maids you see.
They made family homes,
For their children to be free.

They grew their own crops,
And worked the land.
Everyone in the family,
Had to lend a helping hand.

As their children grew older,
And started their own families,
Everyone came back home,
For the best gatherings.

As the Grand children played,
And the parents take a rest.
Grandma’s in the kitchen,
Cooking up her best.

As they gather their family,
And sit down for their meal.
The real since of family,
Seems so unreal.

As the day comes to an end,
A good bye, a hug and a kiss,
Then to blow out the candles,
And make a big wish.
